Hello! I’m Maya Okafor, the founder of PDFEasyGuide.com. As a web developer and a former university student in Canada, I know exactly how frustrating it is when you have a deadline in 2 hours, you need to merge 5 chapters into one PDF, compress your CV to under 200KB for an email, or split a 300-page eBook, and every website you find asks you to pay $19 per month, install heavy software, or worse – upload your private documents to an unknown server in another country.
I faced this problem almost every week during my final year. I was paying for Adobe Acrobat, waiting 10 minutes to upload a single file, and worrying if my internship contract with personal ID numbers was safe. I thought, why isn’t there a simple tool that just works in the browser, is 100% free, and doesn’t steal my data? That question became the idea for PDFEasyGuide in early 2024.

Unlike most PDF websites that upload your files to cloud servers, we took a completely different approach. We use modern web technologies like JavaScript and WebAssembly to process everything 100% offline inside your own browser. This means when you use our Merge PDF to combine projects, or Compress PDF to shrink a file to 200KB, or Split PDF to extract pages, your file never leaves your laptop or phone. It is processed locally and automatically cleared from memory when you close the tab. We literally cannot see, store, or access your documents even if we wanted to.
